Cine Cuba film festival runs from 10th – 17th July '08 at the Barbican, combining gems from the Havana archives, outstanding new works and films celebrating Cuba's musical heritage. Highlights include the winner of the Silver Bear at the Berlin Film Festival, Strawberry and Chocolate, and the re-release of one of the early landmarks of post revolutionary Cuban cinema, Tomas Gutierrez Alea's 1968 masterpiece, Memories of Underdevelopment.
