Europe's biggest and best Cuban Carnival is this weekend - with top bands from Cuba including Sur Caribe and Septeto Tipico Tivoli, dancers, dance workshops, a massive Conga procession, kid's face-painting and juicy, fresh tropical cocktails and Cuban + World food on Saturday/Sunday from midday 'til late!

Carnival de Cuba is free — and this year the event, which attracted 86,000 people last year, is on a much larger site at Southwark Park, which is an easy ride on the Jubilee Line

Carnival de Cuba is a free-access, not-for-profit event benefiting six charities - Juconi, Task Brasil, Children of the Andes, WSPA, Environmental Investigation Agency and Medecins du Monde. The event has been running since 2005 and is sponsored by Virgin Atlantic and Cubana bar-restaurant among others
