Not-for-Profit Policy

  1. Carnival de Cuba is a not-for-profit event run by Carnival de Cuba Ltd

  2. The aim of Carnival de Cuba is to run a free access event designed to promote Cuban culture, particularly dance and music. The event is non-political

  3. The event is funded by grants, sponsors, sales of stalls and concessions and by sales of food and drink at the event - sponsors, concessions and stallholders may make profits and/or promote their products through their commercial concessions at the event

  4. Any surplus after all costs from the organisation of the event as whole, including the site costs, will be distributed to the Carnival-de-Cuba charities - Task Brasil, Juconi, Children of the Andes, WSPA, the Environmental Investigation Agency and Medecins du Monde

  5. These charities also receive free stands/marquees and promotion at Carnival de Cuba and on the Carnival website
